Now, it is important to know that each zone or autonomous community has an assigned water company, so the process to follow to activate the water supply is very likely to vary depending on the zone or geographical area in which your home is located. .

Requirements or documentation to register the water for a home
The documentation that we have to deliver will not only depend on the company in charge, but on other factors, such as whether the home is new, second-hand or if the user is a natural person or a company. However, there are some papers that are common to deliver in all regions of Spain. Which are?
- NIF/NIE of the person making the request.
- Supply request form.
- Identifiable data (public property deed) that demonstrate that said person is the owner of the property. On the other hand, a series of data about the construction must be provided, such as the cadastral reference or if the lease of the property is due to a commercial or residential use.
- Occupancy certificate, that is, that accreditation granted by the administration to demonstrate that the property meets the necessary conditions to be inhabited.
- Bank information, with the account number and certificate confirming that you are the account holder. The IBAN is required.
- Letter of authorization if the applicant is different from the owner.
In some cases, the water bulletin can also be requested. This is an accrediting paper in which it is stated that the plumbing installation meets all the requirements set by current regulations.

In our country, this service depends on each City Council and the city, town or residence where it is done. For this reason, it is not possible to know the exact price of what it would cost, although we can say an average price that usually ranges between 50 and 200 euros.
